Aquatic Connections and Watershed Awareness

1st Grade Offerings
Eye on the Everglades

Students make connections between different types of Everglades habitats and the types of organisms that live in each.

North Side Only (8537 Northlake Blvd)

Wee Water Ones
Students look closely at some aquatic Everglades animals and identify adaptations that help these animals live in a wetland environment. Students discuss the life cycles of the aquatic animals, and attempt to match the juveniles to their adult counterparts. Students try their hand at catching some of the critters they have been discussing. Bring a change of shoes and clothes. Students will get wet and muddy! Closed toe shoes required.
